It's the first time we've flown with our youngest child, now about 20 months old. In total we there are 6 of us. One of our carry-ons got flagged because it had oversize lotion, contact solution, and mouthwash. That triggered a full pat-down in public of my wife and of course confiscation of the liquids. Of course they didn't take the razor in the same suitcase. Or a contact solution bottle of the same size in another suitcase. Or a razor blade in that same suitcase.
When we got to our gate, another lady was upset because she got a full pat-down in a private room that she claimed was even more intrusive than the public ones. I honestly don't understand what triggers what, or the inconsistencies.
I'm not even really complaining about the workers or TSA. It's just sort of a behemoth process now. In a way, terrorists sort of won, with what we have to go through these days.
