I would like my kids to stay close to home for undergrad degree. I prefer BYU for them and then off to a prestigious grad school if they desire to do so.

He won't have any trouble taking his Y degree to a top Med school if he can continue that kind if performance. If he falls off in his performance, then he will not get into a top grad school in either case. And grad school is what matters for job placement. Not where you got undergrad.

That's how I have approached it with my Senior whose grades are not quite as good as that kid's but whose leadership quals are as good as I have ever seen.

BYU is a great place to get married and start a family and I think that is a big deal as well.
