going from ASU to BYU as a step up. I imagine the pay at ASU would be better and may be a better stepping stone. Don't know if hes a "BYU" guy or not. He is very close with John Wardenburg. Played for him in high school, then hired him as an assistant after John coached for a year in BYUH. John just took over for him as the head coach when Barret left for ASU. The way Wardenburg was let go might have left a bad taste in his mouth. Don't know if that would affect Barret or not.
