been given the okay, but we can tell my management HATES the idea. But they seem to like me, so they're willing to do whatever it takes to keep me. Instead they are encouraging us to re-locate to our Cincinnati or Dallas offices. It's been hard to pull the trigger, for sure. We still have lots of things on our to-do list here in the Bay Area... such a neat place to live.

We LOVE living in the Bay Area, but our financial situation is the elephant in the room. With three growing kids and the insane growth in rental rates in the past three years, we're starting to lose money.

I'd like to get back closer to family, and Utah's cost-of-living is so attractive. However,my wife is somewhat opposed to moving back to Utah. She's a native Oremite and when we first left Utah she swore we'd get back ASAP. But after living in the Bay Area (among other places), she's not so keen on living in Utah again (lots of reasons).
