And if you want proof at what a struggling pass rush can do, see the 2012 Oregon State game. Worst game the D had all year, and it was because they could not get pressure, so they zoned more.
Pass rush makes a huge difference with productivity of the secondary. Because they can not cover forever, no matter how good they are. And a good pass rush forces errors and creates turnover.
