Has there ever been a better story teller in sports than Jim Valvano
The 30-for-30 show on Jim Valvano and NC State is probably my favorite 30-for-30 program. NC State's championships run happened right when I started paying attention to college basketball so I can remember the story of the upsets and comebacks as they happened. And I remember the final missed shot and dunk - I thought Houston was going to win too.
Is there anyone today in sports that can compare to Valvano? Dick Vitale is the only one I can think of but his shtick is old and used up.
