It seems too artist focused and will rely on getting exclusives. While the hype of the owners is that this will allow for creativity they need to realize that tech has created some pretty meaningful distribution models that steer people toward music to match their taste. Shazan-like analysis by the tech companies can give artists a pretty solid idea of whether they have a chart climber in their hands or if it is destined for the skip button when it comes on.
It will be interesting to see how their lossless tier does given data caps and such.
