I was referring more to how they are as people
Neither has a reputation for being a nice guy, and both are described as being complete egomaniacs (not just by former band members.) Joe has always come across as a likable guy, and Timothy has always been kind of a lone-wolf weirdo. Don Felder is also an egomaniac, and he didn't have much of a career when the group got back together in the mid 90's. Joe Walsh's career probably would have been in better shape when the band got back together had he not been a major alcoholic/drug addict.

Now that Joe is sober and healthy, you see him everywhere doing guest spots and touring. I think that Don Felder was put out because he held no leverage and had to take a lesser deal to be in the band when it re-formed. In his mind, it was still 1976 and he was at the top of his game writing mega hits like Hotel California. I don't particularly care for him either, but I really can't stand Don and Glen--especially how they treated Randy Meisner.
