Depending on the monitors I've never had a problem with my laptop dring them...

I use three when I work from home, one is a little bit lower resolution as its a travel monitor, and there's never been a problem.

Depends on the capabilities (and outputs) of the graphics card in your computer

You can get a USB3 video adapter for pretty cheap to add more monitors
