Sometimes the airlines just do it for you as a perk. Thing is, is that I used
to get that treatment about half the time, and when I didn't, I hated taking off my shoes and belt and removing my laptop.
I just sprung for the TSA thing and paid the $80 for five years. My company reimbursed me anyway.
On a related note, last Saturday I was working in our office in San Jose and slipped a DP into my bag to drink later and forgot about it. Well, the TSA was none to happy and my privileges might have been revoked.
Or, I'm on double-secret probation. I'll find out next week when I fly again.
