Students are taking the STAAR tests this week here in Texas (they're statewide assessment tests that kids take each year and need to pass to move on). Students have 4 hours to take the rest, and no talking is allowed.
So I pickup my daughter from YWs tonight and ask Her how the test went today. She proceeds to tell me that a kid next to her asked her if she was done with her test, and when answered the teacher saw her talking and accused her of cheating. So her test was thrown out and she needs to meet with the principle tomorrow to determine her punishment - which is either summer school or even having get held back to repeat.
I start freaking out thinking we're going to have to fight the school on this. Then I'm wondering why the heck my wife didn't say anything to me and start getting riled up about that.
I was all wound up by the time we got home, then my son let me in on the joke.
