speaking of embarrassing moments, I witnessed one a week and a half ago that I'm
sure will be retold a few times by this girl's family.

I'm the Deacon's Quorum adviser and we were getting a new deacon ordained 10 days ago. This new deacon has 4 older sisters - one of them married with a baby, the others are in high school or freshly graduated from high school or in college.

First, you have to understand that every person in this family is about a foot taller than average. The father played basketball for BYU decades ago - he's 6'7". His wife is 6'2". All the kids are - like a said - about a foot taller than their peers. That being said, any skirt these girls try to wear ends up looking like a mini skirt.

We are all in the Bishop's office sharing testimonies and expressing congratulations to the new deacon. While all this is going on, the younger sisters are taking turns holding the oldest sister's baby. One sister had the baby lying down on her lap. While the Bishop was talking about the responsibilities of a Deacon, one of the other sisters got up to take a turn holding the baby. She slipped her hand under the baby to gently lift her off of her lap, but didn't realize that she also grabbed onto her sister's skirt with it. So yes, as she gently and slowly lifted the baby off of her sister's lap, she pretty much flashed her sister to the whole bishopric before she realized what was going on. It took a while for everyone to stop laughing.
