Projector vs. TVs

I'm researching for what TV to buy for my man cave. It would be used mainly for football and basketball games.

What are the pro/cons of a projector compares to a TV? How's the picture quilting? Any specific recommendations for a projector?

For mostly sports viewing, I'd go with LED TV over projector.
