There's a reason other instate schools tout their scholarship retention rates. I

believe to retain an academic schollie at Utah and Utah state you need to maintain a 3.5 GPA, while at BYU it is 3.85 IIRC. Not only is the GPA requirement tougher, but so is the competition for grades to keep that schollie.

Be wary of the guy who offers to give you the shirt off his back. It may not be worth wearing.

I renewed mine all 4 years. Had to maintain a 3.7 basically. This was early 90's
