Road bike question for the cyclists out there...
I'm posting this here because CB won't let me pick any other posting category for some reason ......

I want to get into biking more as a way to exercise my knees after several knee surgeries.

Question is this....

Is it better to buy a newer bike that isn't as "top of the line" but still has good components/frame, or- is it better to buy an older bike (like 10 years old) that was once the top of the line but is still in good shape?

If it were a car id have no interest in the older one. Is it different for bikes?

I don't need a crazy expensive bike- just something to go ride around a few days a week for 45 minutes to an hour for exercise.

Thanks in advance for any input!
