You could go slightly used. Lots of guys buy top of the line stuff and upgrade

each year. Problem is they are pretty proud of their used stuff because it is very high end. I work with a couple of guys that sell their stuff on KSL and upgrade very regularly. More the very high end stuff though, guys that are racing or at least riding in serious clubs.

I wouldn't buy a bike more than a few years old, esp. carbon (and I love carbon)
