Sort of depends on how into cycling you want to get

The rabbit hole is deep. Do you intend on going full-out---investing in better than stock parts, bike jerseys, bike shorts, clip in shoes, etc? Or will this just be something you dabble in---get a good baseline bike and use the stock gear until it wears out?

You could go slightly used. Lots of guys buy top of the line stuff and upgrade
