Thanks. Getting my MIL to be independent is going to be impossible in both of
the places she has relatives (San Jose and Orange County, CA). Her living with us just isn't gonna work long-term.
With housing costing less than half as much, and the possibility that she could get paid just as much up there (if not more)... and (surprisingly enough given how conservative it is) a functioning public transit system... why the heck not?
