a few years ago. We like the resort. Great pool and rooms were nice. The beach in the front of the hotel isn't great for swimming, lots of rocks. There is one around the corner that's decent and some good ones within driving distance.

It's in a gated area off some dirt roads and takes some time to drive anywhere-beaches, food, Tamarindo, etc. We went during the dry season, February, so everything was pretty brown, including the golf course by the resort.

We enjoyed it but have liked other tropical vacations better.
