A few weeks ago I was out with my family which included my 17 month old little girl. We ate dinner at a local restaurant and went to a nearby area were there were food trucks, live music, and a congregation of people.
My little girl was dancing to the live music and I was chatting with some other people. I turned around and saw my daughter approach a dog and its owner in the middle of the crowd. As she went to grab the dog I picked her up and asked the owner what kind of dog it was. He hesitated and "admitted" it was a "Pittie." I shielded my daughter and not thinking or caring about tact told him to "get that dog out of here."
I wondered after-the-fact if I was too brash but couldn't help but think of the many pictures I've seen of clients and little kids whose faces or other body parts were savagely chewed by "pitties."
A pitbull is a vicious breed. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. It's why the breed is excluded from a lot of homeowners policies.
