We have two kids. It's much cheaper than flying, and honestly not that bad. Only make a couple stops. We are getting a little bit burned out though, simply because it takes time to drive and make the visit and it's taking up time we could be doing another family vacation. We used to do twice a year (one to each side of the family, coming from Seattle to one in Idaho, one in Utah) but are combining trips into one this year, and don't know how long we'll keep that up.
