I drive from South Mississippi to Southern California every summer
to visit family. We are usually gone almost a month. I have four kids (oldest is 15). It is almost 2000 miles one way. I usually do the trip there in one drive straight through. I take a couple days on the way back to see other sites. We've done it all but one of the years we have lived out here (11 years), and in that year we drove all over the east coast instead.
