It would put us at a recruiting disadvantage when competing for recruits. We all

know Utah is an elite powerhouse, so top talent with other offers do tend to sign with teh team up north anyway. Still, there are recruits who may be stuck in between and would see Utah as having moved forward---and given a BYU move down to the MWC--view us as regressing.
