They know there is a huge segment of BYU fans not happy w/ anything less than P5
inclusion.
Especially with Utah now in a big boy conference, Holmoe knows that BYU needs to get in or face a future of ever dwindling fan support.
The 2nd best thing to actually getting into a P5 conference is to let your nervous fan base know that you are trying to get in. That’s enough to keep many fans like me around until it’s obvious that BYU is definitely going to be left out.
