Eligibility for a potential student athlete. Long story, so I won't post all the details here, but I have a relative on my wife's side of the family that is returning from his mission and hopes to try out for the football team as a walk-on (he was recruited a little bit before his mission and has stayed in contact with some of the coaches). Since I am a member of the Cougar Club and a season ticket holder, I am considered a booster and don't want to do anything that would be considered an additional/improper benefit when he gets down here to school.

If anyone has experience in these types of situations, and wouldn't mind helping me out, it would be appreciated. Please BM me if you need more details about this specific situation. Any other info will be helpful as well if you'd rather post your experiences in the thread rather than sending a BM.

EDIT: I already sent an email to the Compliance Office at BYU, but I am unsure how long it will take them to get back to me, so this still seems like a good option if anyone has any experiences.
