I use this, and the hcbw prefers this over her 870.
Kel-Tec KSG. 14 rounds of 2 3/4 00 Buck, or a home made flechette dart/ .5oz slug combo. 26.5"long. Easy to turn in a hallway. Run it with a simple red dot with back up iron sights. Simple point and shoot, all can operate it. Pistol grip allow you to control your weapon while opening doors, etc.
But firearms are a personal choice. Go with what feels good to you, in your hand, in your stance. And train to be proficient. Don't be the one libs use to justify taking firearms away.
And always, always, always live and teach these rules to your kids:
1. Always treat a firearms as if it is loaded.
2. Never point the firearm towards anything you do not wish to destroy.
3. Always be sure of your target.
4. Always be sure of what is behind your target.
5. Keep your finger off the trigger until you have obtained your target and are ready to shoot.
