I'm sure many casual fans and/or younger people who were willing to give boxing a try left with a bad taste in their mouth.

Not to say that the fight was somewhat impressive. Floyd is a master and wins using a defensive style. He won by using strategy and understanding the judging/point system in front of him.

I just don't think that was the fight the sport needed right now in regards to building up the image and improving overall popularity. Boxing will continue to slide into irrelevance
