If CCG games are deregulated, then look for the B1G and SEC to go to 16 teams
They will use pod scheduling and have their own system for determining their two titlists - most likely the top 2 teams ranked in the Playoff Committee's top 25. The ACC will fill out its conference and get to 16 teams as well.

So, ironically, the big push for the greedy Big 12 teams to deregulate CCGs so they can get their precious 13th game, will ultimately be the start of the demise and they get picked off.

Texas Tech, Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas State and TCU will be punished for being reactionary and greedy instead of being visionary and looking ahead.

The P5 will become the P4 and the CCGs will be dubbed the playoff quarterfinals (or the Elite 8). Notre Dame will see this potential and join the ACC in their pod scheduling. That brings the ACC up to 15 and if they lose UVA to the Big Ten, they would need 2 more teams = West Virginia and either Cincinnati or Connecticut. IF UVA stays in the ACC, then they only need one obviously - most likely WVU.

The Big Ten will probably shoot for Kansas and Missouri but will have to settle for Kansas and UVA. If the SEC loses Mizzou, then look for them to grab Texas, OU and OSU. Easy to bring the Longhorn Network into the SEC network fold. Otherwise the SEC may have to settle for OU and OSU. Can you imagine the pod with UT, TAMU, OU and OSU? And another one with Arkansas, LSU, Alabama and Auburn? On the other side, you have South Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. Finally, you have the weak one: Kentucky, Vandy, Ole Miss and Miss. State.

Finally, the PAC-12 makes concessions for the Longhorn network and grabs UT, Baylor or TCU, BYU and CSU. I think the religious bigotry gets more muted with more teams. You have a pod with Utah, CU, BYU and CSU. Texas, Baylor, Arizona and ASU will be in another. The 4 northwest schools are in a pod and the 4 California schools in a pod.

They most likely won't take Tech and Iowa State and Kansas State will be left out too with either TCU or Baylor - whoever doesn't go with Texas. If Texas goes to the SEC, then the PAC-12 will have to settle for TCU and Baylor.
