they didnt beat an above .500 team all year. Draft numbers show talent at the top, but it takes much more than that to be a good team. There are also a lot of variables such as graduating years/underclassmen NFL talent and when they decide to declare. There is definitely some amount of correlation between players sent to the league, and quality of a team, but draft numbers only tell a small part of the story
