I also think BYU is proving what is important to them by this move
mainly, that they intend to use BYU sports to bring attention to the school and the church. BYU can't be anywhere close to the top 10% in revenue and to have a payout in the top 10% of programs? That is impressive and says to me one thing: BYU sports aren't going anywhere anytime soon. BYU/Holmoe/Worthen/Board of Directors/the Church are making a commitment to BYU sports even when the revenue margins will be much different going forward.

Also - this is the first major move under Worthen I think and his much discussed love of BYU sports is proving itself.
