My advice is to go. No better opportunity to change careers than the network and
contacts you get at grad school, especially business school. And an experienced engineer is a perfect fit because the business world is in need of people who can work both sides of the technical / business structure.

I had a decent salary after many years as an engineer in the semiconductor industry and still got a 60% increase in pay coming out of grad school.
