But punching your ticket at a big firm is not a terrible idea. The main thing is to prayerfully consider your options and go where you feel is best for you.

Your career as an associate is determined largely by the partner(s) you work with. That will affect your sanity, your hours, and your living conditions more than which firm & which location.
