That's too bad. We need the marginal fans to care to be able to not fall
further behind. The good news is that they'll come back when byu is winning, but the bad news is there are no guarantees for when that will happen.
People being disgusted and losing interest is bound to happen without ranked seasons, especially with so many options for entertainment. It bums me out to see people bail so quickly, especially at a crossroads in the life of the program. If we can't maintain decent fan support through 8-4 seasons then we don't really have that great of an argument to make to P5 conferences.
