$25,000 for 10 years @ 5% will give them an additional
$15,000 on that investment...pre-tax. Assuming tax rates are at 35%, this gives them an additional $10,000.

They'll need to get around a 3.25% annual return in the stock market to equal this alternative investment. Even though the stock market is high right now, I think that this is a reasonable return AND it's safer.

I'd choose some kind of balanced index fund.
