Encouraging them to save is key, though.

I have seen hundreds of guys who figure "this is just what I'm worth" after a summer sales success and are shocked when they graduate and make $40k annually instead of in 3 months (or in the case of superstars, $100 or even $150K in three months).

Eventually they get too old to do it (or to want to do it). They need to develop good spending habits now because it can cause a lifelong financial problem if they think this is how it's always going to be. They need to use the $$ to get them a leg up in life so that they don't have to have school debt and have it be a springboard to a permanent job/life they will really love.
