Fact is most top recruits end up at the same top15 viewed schools, and everyone else is left picking up the scraps. I am not saying byu shouldn't try and recruit top lds talent and fight for committment, but the odds are against them, heavily in favor of the P5 cartel. Actually just the top15 teams in that cartel have huge advantages over the rest. Espn promotes the top teams as top dogs all the time and kids buy the hype. Byu is fighting an uphill battle, especially being non P5. If they were in the Big12, I think their odds go way up with kids like this.
