Just because we happen to have the dominant pitcher this year doesn't change it
The game outcome is too reliant on one player. That's not good for a so-called team sport, even if it happens to benefit BYU this particular year.

They should allow a pitcher to participate in one game per week, regardless of how many innings she pitches in that game. Or perhaps a 7 inning/week limit. If they play 4-6 games a week then they need to have a pitching staff of at least 4-6 players to win all the games, instead of just one. Now that's a team sport IMHO.

Chances are they wouldn't have that many dominant pitchers and the coaches, hitters, base-runners and fielders would actually have to play an important role in games. Imagine that!
