For folks either from or familiar with the Anaheim area
I have 3 kids that I coach in track in our rural Idaho community that are at the Business Professionals of American National Convention at Disneyland/Anaheim Convention Center. I have talked with the Anaheim School District and they told me that Loara High's track would be available once Loara's track team is done with practice. Hence my kids could get out on the track to work out in the early evening once or twice before they head home this weekend. I grew up and was raised in Simi Valley but I am not entirely familiar with Anaehim other than running at Cerritos JC for CIF track events, visiting Disneyland and perhaps some other high school sports events. I have had a couple of mothers ask how safe the Loara area is and from my faint memory the areas around Disneyland and in that vicinity were solid middle class areas. It might be significantly more diverse and multi-ethnic than where we live (not really hard to do) but I don't think I am asking kids to get a cab into Pacoima here. However, I left SoCal 25 years ago and that area might have changed from the days of my youth so I thought I would ask here. Should we send our redneck children packing heat, not an entirely abnormal state in our locale, or is it safe to assume they will be fine working out on the Loara High track?
