It was more along the lines of a lazy rich guy
He owned a huge business, so he had 4 $100K cars in his garage. He was using the car as a tax write off and was planning to trade it in. However, he had his nephew post it on craigslist first. The nephew posted 2-3 pictures and did a terrible job marketing it. The location was the middle of nowhere. Anyway, I took a run out there and made him an offer, which he accepted.

I learned that those cars have a wide range ($10K) of what they sell for used, so I got it slightly below the bottom of that range.
