1. BYU continues to improve as a academic institution. In 2007 BYU was ranked #79 and now they are #62 in US News. I bet its top 50 in a decade. Demographic trends favor BYU getting more selective. BYU will have an increasingly wealthy alumni base to help support athletics.

2. I believe in a moral universe that arcs towards justice. BYU is going to have a surprise really good season in the next 3 years that will rekindle excitement.

3. Even if expansion doesn't happen soon, BYU can sustain it's self as a tweener program for a long time and something will happen. Likely before most of us die.
