He cheated. It wasn't a tug on the jersey cheat either, it was a pimply, testicle shrinking cheat that allowed him to set nearly every record that he has.
Would he have gotten 500 HRs without cheating? Extremely unlikely. His best power numbers of his career were from ages 36-39. Lance was stripped of all of his accomplishments and steroid users in MLB should have the same result.
