In my opinion my brother-in-law's actions are fraud
I posted the other night that my BIL and SIL had my in-laws prepay for a hotel for a family reunion in Vegas this weekend. Then, not only did they not enough to pay for that, they didn't have gas money. So the in-laws sent them $400 to cover gas.

Well guess who cancelled and can't make it. So the prepaid hotel will be lost, and it's pretty likely the $400 check got cashed just before they cancelled. In a separate incident, the in-laws had been paying for an apartment for them. I just found out that the adult kids "didn't get the deposit back" when they moved.

The in-laws are terribly weak and gullible. But it's pretty despicable to bleed 80-year-olds on a fixed income dry. Makes me so mad.
