this year. Consistently miserable.
Atlanta had a decision to make before the season, who to cut and who to keep between Stults and Wandy Rodriguez. They cut Rodriguez. He's averaging nearly a K/inning, has a WHIP of 1.15 and ERA under 3.50. Stults' ERA is approaching 7. The reason they didn't have room for Rodriguez is because they traded for Trevor Cahill, who was miserable pitching for Arizona last year. He's been worse in Atlanta. After his 3 runs allowed in 1.1 innings tonight, his ERA is nearly 8.
With how good Shelby Miller has been and Teheran looking much stronger in his last start, the Braves would've had a solid rotation if they just would've kept Rodriguez instead. Nice scouting there, boys.
