Fixing cars yourself saves tons of money... But if you can't,
Try to get the part yourself. Many mechanics will install a part that you buy into your car. This avoids the part markups.
Any good mechanic would allow This.
Car parts on Amazon are really cheap. It's a wonderful thing.
