My reasons...
1. Childhood dream of being a military pilot.

2. Service to my country. It didn't feel right to simply allow others to sacrifice on my behalf. A couple caveats - there are a lot of ways to serve your country outside the military. I just felt it was my duty. Also, I'm an Air Force pilot - pretty cush lifestyle compared to a lot of other services and career fields.

3. Setting an example to my kids. I want them to know first hand what it's like to sacrifice for their country.

4. Flight suits are awesome. Chicks dig them.

5. I love having the opportunity to lead and train young pilots. They are the best and the brightest this country has, and I have the privelage of teaching them a dynamic skill-set in a plane that is a blast to fly.
