There was a span where he was scoring 40+ every night & the Lakers were
dominant. His knee really derailed him, but for a time it looked like he had a chance at eclipsing Jordan.
I say this as someone who didn't care all too much for Kobe, the man. But he was unarguably one of the greatest ever, in his prime.
