to spend a lot of time outdoors. Growing up hunting and fishing, I've been to 90% of those places outside of scouting and had a lot more fun with my dad and brothers than other adults and kids. Consequently, I can't and couldn't stand scouting. It did nothing for me other than provide boredom. Bottom line: it isn't for everyone.
