I had a mortgage with the same company I bank with. I recently refinanced to another company so my escrow balance was refunded to me from the previous mortgage company. Well, the check was bad somehow, so the funds were taken out of my savings account after I had deposited the check and a $5 fee was assessed because of the bounced check.

I got on an online chat and basically said you cut me a bad check and fined me for it. I want the money refunded. They said ok. Hard to argue with me on that one.
