RE: Neighbor's dogs doing their business in my yard. Best way to deal with it?
I had a problem over a two year period. I told my wife that I would one day make a sign for the offender(s). One morning backing out of my driveway I saw a huge steaming pile. I was mad all the way to the office found a website that made custom signs and ordered it. That was cathartic so I forgot about it until my wife called me at the office a couple weeks later.

Wife: "Ummm, did you order a sign for the yard?
Me: "Yeah."
Wife: "You're not really going to put it out in the yard are you?"

The sign said something like this:

"Dear rude, crude, inconsiderate and lazy neighbor. Your dog has been crapping on my lawn for over a year and I am sick of it. If you cannot handle the responsibilities of dog ownership I suggest you give your dog to someone who can."

I posted it. My wife was mortified. It got tweeted out by a Colorado Avalanche player that lived in the neighborhood. No more crap in my yard.
