Jim was the High School Head Coach ,
a finer Man I don't know, Jim was then brought into BYU Football as a Graduate Assistant by Gary Crowton and landed a Coaching position when Gary left , Bronco kept him and then an Academic Coaching position opened up and Jim took it.

I still think Jim should be on the field Coaching Football , but if you ask just about any player on the team they would tell you what a class act Jim Hamblin is.
